Soak 4 slices of bread in 1/2 cup milk and 2 beaten eggs for 10 minutes. Add:
1 lb hamburger
2 T minced onion
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp pepper
Make into balls; brown and place in baking dish.
Mix with 1 cup milk:
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of chicken soup
Pour over meatballs and bake 1 hour, uncovered, in a 300 degree oven. Any higher temp will curdle sauce. The soups make enough sauce for 2 lbs of meat. Makes about 2 dozen balls per lb.
