Caramel Puffed Wheat

Boil to soft ball stage:

1 cup margarine
1 cup light Karo syrup
2 cups brown sugar
dash of salt

Remove from heat and stir in 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz).  Cool slightly and pour over 5-6 quarts puffed wheat.
